Together with area schools and our community partners, we have offered a variety of programs and opportunities for the community to continue to build civic knowledge and skills, and explore their civic identify.
Social Pioneers Program
The Social Pioneers Program is an accelerator program for youth who have an idea for how to make their communities better. Working with peers, mentors and facilitators, participants will join other pioneering young people for a 16 week program to develop project ideas and create action plans. Participants attend workshops to develop techniques and skills, and have the opportunity to pitch his or her idea to a panel at a public pitch event.
The Social Pioneers program is designed to give participants the skills, networks and resources necessary to address an important issue in their community, using a platform and approach that they choose.

Summer of Civics
At the Princeton Youth Program for Civic Engagement we think the summer is a great time for young citizens to have fun, build their civic knowledge, and explore their role as active citizen. After all, it was during a long hot Philadelphia summer in 1787 when the framers of the U.S. Constitution created the enduring document that still defines the nation and the protection for its citizens more than 230 years later. Make this your Summer of Civics!
NOTE: The Summer of Civics activities are designed for citizens in Elementary School
